Painting competition for community participation
HSR Layout is one of the rapidly developing area in Bangalore today ,
led by corporator Smt. Latha Narasimhamurthy. To involve the residents in the
devopmental activites, a painting competition was organised in colloboration with
NGOs , local associations and bussinesses.
The competition was organised in the 'tree park' in Sector-1 of HSR Layout on March 2, 2013. There was
enthusiastic participation from chidren of the HSR Layout to show their dream of for their neighbourhood.
Children had a great time drawing and coloring in this shady park on this sunny day . Kids as young as
4 years were seen participating.
Certificates and goody bags were given away to all the children .
Later, a skit was enacted by team from Fujitsu, one of the sponsorers, to spread awareness about
neighbourhood improvement.
Then the children got an opportunity to showcase their talents by coming up to the stage and telling
stories, jokes, singing etc. The program ended with the winners being announced and prices distributed .
